Friends, I am tired today. It has been a long week for me, but so far it has been productive.
For reading, I just finished Nora Roberts' new book, Nightwork. It is a novel about a thief, a profession that Nora writes about regularly. I can't say I cared for this one, but there were some really cool craft techniques that Nora pulled off in it. I also finished A Time to Kill by John Grisham, which was a great novel and one that I enjoyed very much. I would say it is probably my favorite Grisham novel that I have read so far, which is crazy because it is his first.
For data analysis, I spent an hour with my programmer, finally resolving the problem that we had with the Whisper dictation tool. It now works beautifully, and I have a fully functional dictation tool that is not Dragon. This is a really cool accomplishment, but not for the faint of heart. The programmer and I are figuring out ways to make the installation easier because that was the most difficult part of the process. The tool itself is quite cool and very easy to use.
For marketing, I finally fixed the problem I was having with Google Play, and hopefully that will be resolved in the next day or so. I also have another distribution project in the works that I am excited to announce probably next month or in March. I think it's going to be a big deal.
For production, no words today, but I'm not sweating it.
Oh, and by the way—I dictated this entire post and transcribed it using the new Whisper tool that I created. Pretty cool. It recognized all of the proper nouns and there were no dictation errors. It took approximately one-third of the file run-time. The audio file was three minutes and it took one minute to transcribe. Absolutely incredible.
Have a good night.
