6200 words today. Boo-yah! And I didn’t spend that much time writing.
I wrote several chapters toward the next volume of Indie Author Confidential. I dictated a couple of those chapters, which helped me cross more ground faster. I also dictated a chapter while waiting for some hot water to boil for my afternoon tea. I used Dragon Anywhere to do that, and it added about 800 words to my margin today.
I also wrote on my phone today while briefly waiting for my dryer to finish a load of laundry, and I netted about 100 words.
The amount of words I physically typed was around 2000.
Add 3300 words written through dictation on my desktop using Dragon.
Add 800 words dictating with Dragon Anywhere on my phone.
Add 100 words from my phone.
That all adds up to a pretty nice writing day.
I’ve still got a long way to go. I’m only 8600 words in, and most issues of Indie Author Confidential are between 40,000 and 50,000 words. I need to publish by June 30 in order to publish on time. I should be able to exceed that deadline.
I’ve got some additional “business” stuff to do, so I’m ending the writing early tonight and posting this blog post early before it gets too late.
