All of my books for writers can now be purchased directly from me. It took most of the morning to get all my titles set up, but it should be pretty straightforward from now on, and very easy to add new books into the system. I absolutely love the functionality. I plan on waiting a couple months to figure out what the quirks are before loading in my fiction, as that’s a much more gargantuan effort.
I started the week in a pretty good spot, with a few direct sales overnight and a new podcast interview booking. November will be a pretty busy speaking month for me after all.
I also got an invitation for a service called Lunchclub, where you meet with random people with similar interests in other fields as a networking opportunity. I am slated to meet with a few folks in the AI/data fields, as I have some questions about things and would like their perspectives on how to think about the tech for the writing space. No idea how this will work. Apparently Lunchclub is invite only (like Facebook in the early days……), so if folks want an invite, hit me up on my contact form and I’d be happy to let you in.
The other big accomplishment today was finalizing my 2021 strategy. I’m feeling really good about it and will be ready to start executing on November 1, which is admittedly ahead of schedule, but I have a lot of projects I want to work on…
I put together a mind map for myself, and I decided to share it with anyone interested. Probably not at all what you think a writer’s strategy might look like, but maybe there’s something in there that might inform your own strategy. I don’t approach it like most. No idea if that’s good or bad. It’s just different.
