2243 words today. Still not done!
This novel is just deciding to take its time on its slow unwind to the end. I’ve never had a novel do this, honestly. The final conflict just keeps introducing different plot twists and I’m following them where they go.
Just goes to show you that every novel is different and makes its own demands of the writer. Based on what I wrote today, Book 2 will be pretty wild.
I had a pretty good word count day today, so I’m at least making progress. I would like to be done with this book, though. But hey, another day or two more (or more) isn’t going to kill me.
I teach an insurance class on Wednesday though, so that is a DEFINITE momentum killer on the immediate horizon that will surely hurt my productivity if I don’t finish this novel by tomorrow night.
The crazy thing is that I must be probably at least a couple thousand words away from finishing this puppy. It can’t be that many words.
