No words yet, but I’ll be having a session after I publish this blog, so this won’t be a zero-word day by any means.

Also, my YouTube video for the week got delayed. My editor and I came across a weird audio glitch that we were able to fix, but it ate into the buffer period I usually give him. So a video is coming, it just may be tomorrow. Given all that’s going on right now, I figured I’d drop at least one or two balls. Thanks for your patience.

I finished another week’s worth of law school assignments today. I’m officially done with half the semester, and the first week isn’t over yet. The professor is opening up new weeks as I finish them, so at this pace, I’ll knock out Week 4 tomorrow, Week 5 on Sunday, and then it’ll take me a couple days to do Week 6 since it’s the big finale with a final assignment. Each week is about 50-60 pages of reading, a video lecture, a 4-question essay test, and a 45 multiple choice choice exam. Sometimes there’s a little extra. So not a cakewalk by any means.

But my goal is to be done with this class completely by Tuesday so I can move onto other things. It’s crazy, but hey. I got novels to write…

THE LAST FACT CHECKER EMAILED ME TODAY

She provided feedback on my female character. Mostly positive, but she did have some feedback.

Overall, she (and the first fact checker) said that my main character’s sister felt like a strong, authentic heroine. That’s a plus.

The feedback was mostly around little details, all easily fixed.

Ironically, about 80-85% of her comments matched the other reader’s. Almost word for word. The ones that didn’t match were very insightful. She even caught a continuity error that was unrelated to what I asked her to do, so that was worth it alone.

Anyway, her feedback was helpful and validated that I’m on the right track.

Anyhoo, things are moving, which is good. The editor will have the novel back to me sometime this coming week, by next Sunday (Valentine’s Day).

So, today was a day with some good progress. Now I’m off to write more chapters in 250+ Writing Tips, Vol. 2, all while we await a blizzard tomorrow. We’ve had around 4 blizzards in Iowa so far this year. Crazy times.

Have a good night, all.
