0 words today, but LOTS of progress. And something very special at the end of this post.

I spent the day testing my repeating word macro, and used my time today to eliminate embarrassing repeats.

Examples:

  • I used embarrass twice in the same sentence.
  • I used the word “water” 7 times on one page.
  • I used the word “up” 10 times on one page.

Yikes! This macro really helped me catch these words. I was able to clean things up throughout the novel and catch repeats that would sound bad in audio.

Did I catch them all? Not sure, but I caught a lot of them and that will make a big difference. It’s an invisible difference that readers won’t quite notice.

I also used ProWritingAid to catch a few additional errors, which it caught around a dozen or so.

I also recorded 3 YouTube videos + landed THREE potential speaking opportunities later in the year, so by all means, today was a pretty productive day even though I didn’t get any words down.

I’m almost ready to send the book to editor #2 and should have that accomplished tomorrow.

Progress every single day (if you can). That’s how to run an author business.

SPEAKING OF SOMETHING COOL

My buddy Dale L. Roberts has started what is possibly his best work. It’s a series called “Book Rescue” where he takes a new self-published author and partners with Fiverr to get them a new cover and packaging to help them sell more books. How cool is that??

It’s like watching a reality show. Seriously, guys, check it out because it’s amazing. I couldn’t wait to share this with you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzZ5mLyqTHk

Have a good night.
