I need some help at the end of this post if you are an Android user. I did about 600 words today. I finally broke the 40K barrier which feels good. I had to do quite a bit of looping today but all is good and the novel is humming along. I just have to accept that my fiction speed is always slower than my nonfiction speed.

I also did another speaking engagement today with Jessica Brody, author of Save the Cat! Writes a Novel. She has a course platform and I was a guest instructor to talk about Scrivener. We did a 90-minute session where I went in-depth with Scrivener and did a Q&A at the end. Live Q&As for writing apps always make me a little nervous because I always worry that someone is going to ask me a question that completely stumps me. Fortunately that didn’t happen, and there were a few friendly folks from my community there who asked me about some things like Writing into the Dark. All in all, I’d highly recommend you check out Jessica’s course platform at learn.jessicabrody.com.

I also added some more apps to my Writing App tool. Linux is going to be pretty well-represented. I’m now in need of Android writing apps. If you use one, please comment below.

I also got my email cleared out.

Anyhoo, while this was a low word count day, it was quite productive. The good thing is that I’ve got around a month until my next speaking engagement so my time won’t be as constrained. Many of the speaking engagements I’ve done over the past month were agreed to back in the winter, so I think I’ll finally start moving into a new normal of what it feels like to be done with law school, podcasting, etc. once we get into August.

Have a great night.
