3100 words today. A pretty good day, but I’m not done with the novel yet. I’m so close, it’s crazy. I just have a final wrinkle to figure out and then I think I’ll be able to cruise to a finish.
I’m probably 2000 or so words from the end. The novel is sitting at almost 48,500 words. I’m hoping to finish tomorrow morning. My brain is out of writing words tonight so I’ve started the final master loop through the story.
This story is a little tricky because of the villain. I tried something very different with her, and it may or may not work. That’s taking me a little extra time. Under most circumstances, I would have been done with the novel by now, but this one is taking its time.
Thanks everyone for a great Power Hour today. Everyone got lots of good words in. Next power hour will be slightly off-schedule on September 11. First Saturday in Sep is Labor Day Holiday in the states so I’ll be doing it the 2nd and 3rd Saturday of the month.
In other news, I sent Rat City to my proofreader. She’s promised to turn it around by the 30th, so I should have it back in time for a circa Labor Day release.
