900 words today. It’s not quite 1000 but I did write two chapters of Indie Author Confidential Vol. 7, and that just happens to be where the cookie crumbled today. I also broke the 10K mark on the book, so I’ll take it.
I also did my photography for my writing app book and I’m officially finished! The book will have 72 images, which is against every piece of common wisdom people will tell you about ebooks. Keeping your ebook file size as small as possible is incredibly important. Amazon charges $0.15 per MB, so bigger ebooks get dinged pretty bad.
So WHY am I breaking the rules???
Because rules are meant to be broken, that’s why. *puts sunglasses on*
This book NEEDS images. There’s no way around it. Most people wouldn’t have even given a book like this the time of day to write because of that. They’d rather write a book that doesn’t eat up delivery fees. Me? I’m curious to go down this rabbit hole and see where I end up.
I plan to compress the hell out of all the images in the book and just hope for the best. LOL
The writing app book is officially ready for my editor. I just need to determine a title and write a book description. I did that today as well.
I also did some data & analytic deep dives into my editing workflow. Maybe I’ll share more about that tomorrow. It’s probably boring for most, but very, very, useful for me moving forward.
