3600 words today. Exactly what I needed. I’m sitting at around 12,200 words. I needed to be around 13,000 today by end of night to be back on track after my goose egg yesterday, and I closed the gap considerably. I still have a looping session to do so that will definitely add words before I go to bed. I may try to take a stab at another very quick, 200-300 writing session but we’ll see. I should be able to be back on track for tomorrow.
Some things that helped me today:
- I started the morning with a quick dictation session. I did about 1000 words in 20 minutes. Most of it was quite clean and only needed a little bit of cleanup.
- I had to do dishes so I dictated the story while I did twenty minutes of dishes. That netted me about 800 words. I ran the audio into Dragon and it transcribed it for me. I ended up expanded it into about 800.
- I did a session of about 700 words by hand.
- I did another night-time dictation session of about 1000 words.
Dictation definitely was my friend today.
Also, folks have been asking me about the Pantsing book. My designer wasn’t ready today unfortunately so it may be tomorrow. If you signed up for the ARC list, I’ve got your info so I’ll email you as soon as it’s available.
