2100 words so far today. Today was the first day I started feeling better. I think it was the season change—hit me hard. No cold or flu symptoms or COVID-19, just general lethargy and difficulty getting the writing going. My mind wasn’t as “sharp” as it usually was.
Yet, I still hit my daily minimum of 2,000 words every day this week, which is pretty good for feeling crappy. Tonight I’ll try to change the calculus on this novel because I’m nearing the end.
I’m in the ramp-up to the final battle and if I can squeeze in another writing session, I’ll be into the final battle tonight. I’m at 42K right now, so that means the novel will probably be somewhere between 45K-50K, which is pretty close to the other Lester books. I’d like to finish tomorrow—I never like to finish novels over weekends, as it just eats up time. I’d rather spend weekends doing a master loop, honestly. So tomorrow it will be…if I can swing it.
After this, I’ve got a few Beast Mode loose ends:
- I need to record the course for my advanced editing book…and then I need to do the cover and publish the book.
- I need to finish Indie Author Confidential, Vol. 7, which will be my final Beast Mode book
- I need to compile the Beast Mode Collection Vol. 2.
Lots to do before Oct. 15, and lots of new projects to tackle once this is all said and done.
