I’m finally making more progress quickly in putting this QA review behind me. I ran into more unexpected snags last night which really set me back today, but now I’m on the happy path. The only thing left to do is check the sales pages and then make minor modifications if something is wrong. Otherwise, I’m doing a few books a day—checking them at all retailers, marking them done, and then moving on.
In any case, it’s time for me to get back to writing, but this entire project really underscores for me how difficult and time-consuming managing intellectual property can be if you want to do it correctly. All this time I spent was just to get me on proper footing—subsequent reviews will be much easier, and I can now incorporate QA checks into my regular workflow, so this is NOT going to take me nearly as much time moving forward. I’ll be much further ahead than most whenever a retailer makes a change that requires updates. I’ll have everything documented and a smooth process for getting everything fixed.
Also, I published Indie Author Confidential Vol. 7 today + Indie Author Confidential Vols 4-7 compilation. Starting tomorrow, Indie Author Confidential will be two series:
- The individual volumes
- A collection of the anthology volumes
This way, if someone stumbles across the series several years from now, they can buy the anthology volumes to “catch up” quickly without flooding their ebook/paperback library with a ton of volumes.
Next up for publishing is Spirit Chaser (The Good Necromancer Book 3). I just need to write the book description for it, but my mind is jelly right now, so I’ll do that tomorrow.
Also next up is publishing a paperback and hardcover compilation of my Android X series. My designer sent the final files today. So excited about this one. Android X will be the first series I have four four formats available—ebook, paperback, hardcover, and audio. So cool.
I’m also ready to start filming my macro course. I just have to sit down and do it now. I’ll probably tomorrow evening. I need to get that out as soon as possible.
I decided to go ahead and start my next book tonight—it’s about how to manage your books. It’ll cover all the things I’ve been talking about in the last few weeks in minute detail. I’ll probably film a complimentary course along with it.
Anyhoo, time to start writing again. #BEASTMODEON. I’m looking forward to getting back into the groove. There’s still a lot of 2021 left, and I intend to finish at least a few more books!!!
Have a good night.
Oh, and folks, don’t forget about the NaNoWriMo bundle I’m participating in. Early feedback is that the books are FIRE and people are finding it very helpful for the challenge. 16 books, pay-what-you-want, and some really good advice. www.storybundle.com/nano
