About 500 words today. I made it through the storms successfully last night. Thankfully no tornadoes in my area and no power outage. But after last year’s derecho, people in Iowa are pretty skittish about high winds. Thankfully the storm was hyped up enough that it didn’t do anything. Better to be prepared than nothing.
I cleaned up the interiors for my Modern Necromancy series that I co-wrote with my friend Justin Sloan. We got those published and modernized. We wrote this series before Vellum, so it was nice to update the interiors on these.
I also published another book today: Moderation Online (Books 1-3). It’s the omnibus that contains all three books in the series. I’d call that a victory.
I also did my sales for the last month. I ran into a minor issue with Draft2Digital’s reports but got that fixed and everything loaded just fine. I have all my sales from 2014-today at the click of a button, by format, retailer, and virtually anything else you can think of. I talked about how I did this in my book, The Author Income Problem if you’re interested. But the benefit is that I know to the penny how much any one of my books has earned over the years. I can also mine my sales data for trends.
For example, I noticed that my Magic Trackers series seems to have some legs over at Dreame. It’s selling a few copies a month and the read through is pretty good, better than Amazon. No idea what to do with that data yet, but that’s a really helpful thing to know so I can address it and maybe use it to find more readers.
Anyway, time for bed. Have a good night.
