WOW. I finally finished the novel. It clocked in at 81,000 words. Wowza. My longest novel yet. But I finally said goodbye to The Chicago Rat Shifter series. What a crazy ride with fun characters.

For reading, data analysis, and marketing—no work today because I finished the novel. I’ll likely stay this way through the weekend as I do my final loop and get the book ready for my editor by Sunday.

For production, I did 6300 words today—5300 toward the novel and 1000 toward my next project.

This was a unique novel. It really took its time. Just when I thought it was over, it kept going. Much like Book 2 in the series. Book 1 is 60,000, Book 2 is 76,000 and Book 3 is 80,000. I need to write the afterword tomorrow but otherwise this is done.

Anyhoo, I’m off to bed.

Have a good night.
