For reading, I continued reading Vol. 7 of IDW’s TMNT.
For data analysis, I wasn’t able to get any data work in today.
For marketing, I received the first draft of the cover for Year of the Rat. I didn’t like it, so I asked the designer to go back to the drawing board.
For production, I’m at 4200 words for the day, though I should end slightly higher as I have to do some dishes and will be dictating. Half of my words went to my top secret project; the other half went to Indie Author Confidential Vol. 10.
As a reference, I’m normally writing 2200 words per day. So I’m almost double my regular word count to state Beast Mode.
I’m sitting at 11,700 words for the week. If I were hitting my quota, I’d be at 6600. So yep, Beast Mode is in full effect, friends. If I keep doing what I’m doing, I’ll be looking at 27,300 words for the week and 109,000 words in a month. Remember, I’ve only written 340,000ish words so far this year…Just goes to show how things add up and why Beast Mode is so helpful for me.
I’m straddling two books at the same time right now so I’m going to take a productivity hit for a little while, but when I’m done, I’ll have two books for the challenge.
I’m going to bring back voting this year, so once I am done with Indie Author Confidential Vol. 10, I’ll open up voting for the book y’all want to see next. That was fun last year.
Anyway, have a great night.
