Solid day.
For reading, I read more of IDW’s TMNt Vol. 10 but didn’t get very far.
For marketing, I signed off on the omnibus cover of Year of the Rat. Looks really good.
I also did a bunch of MidJourney art. I probably generated about 200 images. I posted in a forum and got some help with a problem I was having with models. God bless the folks who responded—they gave me some really useful tips.
For data analysis, I received the productivity book back from my editor. All looks good and I will ship it off to my proofreader tomorrow, who has confirmed that she should have it back to me by end of next week. I also reached out to my audiobook narrator about getting on his calendar for the audio edition. I may hold this one until the audio is done. When I release it, you will see why.
For production, I’m sitting at 5300 words today, which is a great word count. I still need to review some of my words for today, so the final count will probably be north of 5500.
I am extremely close to finishing The Indie Author Bestiary II. I’m at the penultimate chapter. I estimate that I have about 1,000 words left. I should finish it tonight or late tomorrow.
I have another idea for a short story that I will write after this, so I’m not going to waste any time. I’ll get this book done, shipped off to my editor, and start on the short story.
Also, thanks to all who voted on my next book, which will be…a book on author marketing basics. I’ll start that once I’m done with my next short story, which will be sometime around end of the week/weekend.
No rest for the weary. If I want to hit my plan of 1.2 million words over the next year, I’ve got to keep on trucking. Being a true pulp writer is about telling one story after another, and loving every minute of it. That’s exactly what I’m doing.
