Great day today, and back to normal.
For reading, I read a few short stories from the Heroic Hearts urban fantasy story anthology arrange by Jim Butcher. I like it so far.
For data analysis, no work today other than testing my new dictation/transcription automation process, which worked like a charm. The moment I connect my voice recorder to my computer, Dragon starts transcribing new files. Super cool.
For marketing, I landed another podcast interview.
For production, I am sitting at quota today—2,750, but I have another hour or so worth of dictation left to do. I started a new story today, which is an urban fantasy story. I had no idea where this story was going when I started it, but I like it. I like the character so much I may write a series with him, but we’ll see.
I also received feedback from a beta reader on my time travel story. She pointed out a few logical inconsistencies with the science. I fixed those and got the story ready for my editor, which I will send tomorrow (hopefully) when I finish my current short story.
Also, I discovered this weekend that I have surpassed 3 million words in my writing career. I have written over 2M words of fiction and over 1M words of writing-related content. Crazy how the words fly when you’re having fun.
Anyway, the week is off to a good start. Have a good night.
