I’m back from Superstars in Colorado Springs and finally resting. I managed to unpack, take care of taxes/expense stuff, and even do my laundry the same day I returned. #superweirdbutcool
Anyway, I highly recommend Superstars. It has all the benefits of 20BookstVegas but without the huge crowds. Lots of professional writers, good presentations with solid advice, and a very, very welcoming community. Definitely the friendliest group of writers I’ve ever met. They went out of their way to make sure that first-time visitors felt part of the tribe, and I can’t overstate how important that is.
So anyway, take a look at Superstars 2024. I may go again next year. It’s not a cheap conference (it’s probably one of the more expensive ones, actually), but they do have scholarships and you get a lot more for you money than other conferences I’ve been to (though the others are great as well and have their unique strengths and value propositions).
The benefits you get include:
- Great presentations by professional writers.
- Opportunities to talk to any faculty member you want. They will make time for you.
- Opportunities for direct career counseling.
- VIP dinner where you can get direct access to a faculty member.
So, what am I working on? A ton. I’ve got lots of follow-ups to do from the event as well as some writing to do. Now that I’m back and resting, I’ll be able to hit the ground running again tomorrow.
