Just keep on keeping’ on. No matter what people say, how you feel, or what readers think, keep going.

I have been studying the lives of successful people a lot lately. And not celebrities. Just regular people who found success.

It boils down to one equation: more time + more attempts = eventual success.

It’s not about you being young, or being “too old” to write. You would be SHOCKED how many people over the age of 70 email me on a regular basis to thank me for my content and that they are just getting started as writers. Not kidding.

It’s not about hustling or grinding. That’s a siren song that will wreck a lot of people once the economy goes south. Trust me, you don’t want to be a “hustling” in a recession…

It’s about continuing to follow your dream even in light of setbacks (or overwhelming success).

It’s about developing a quiet confidence. Big personalities and egos burn away quickly.

Be the person who says, “Yeah, I tried, and it sucked a lot at first, but I’m in a much better spot now.”

Matter-of-fact success is better than overnight success. So just keep going. Course-correct here and there where it makes sense, but don’t anything stop you.
