1500 words today (so far).

I did another 1000ish words after the blog post last night so my daily word count was 4400, which was awesome. Man, I want to have fiction days like that more often. LOL

The good news is that I saw the glimmer last night (that moment when you’re writing into the dark and finally see how the story will unfold). I have a very good sense of what will happen leading to the final battle, though I have no idea what the final battle will be.

Today I’ve felt pretty sluggish—didn’t sleep well last night so that’s showing up in my word counts. I also had to stop and do some minor research today which also slowed me down.

I still plan on getting to 2000-3000 today so I am publishing my blog extra early to give me some more writing time since I’m moving a bit slower than usual today. Some days, your mind just isn’t as sharp. I’m getting a writing session in, hitting the hay early, and I’ll take a crack at it tomorrow.

Also, I have another book to announce.

INTRODUCING…HOW TO DICTATE A BOOK

Have you heard that dictation supercharges your word counts, but are you frustrated with it?

You're not alone. Many writers attempt dictation, only to quit because it doesn't get them the results they hear so much about. Fortunately, there is a way to do it correctly.

If you've ever worried about “sounding funny”, struggled with what to say when you’re behind the mic, or gotten tired of making a kajillion spelling mistakes with Dragon, then you've come to the right place.

In this writer's guide, prolific author M.L. Ronn will teach you how to unlock the power of dictation using the methods he's used to dictate over 30 books of fiction & nonfiction.

You'll learn:

  • How to dictate (and why you should)
  • The tools and equipment you'll need
  • How to set Dragon up for success
  • The 3 types of dictation (the 2nd one will blow your mind)
  • How to dictate cleanly the first time so that you don't have to spend as much time editing
  • And more

This book also comes with a FREE video companion course where you can see the author dictate sections from this very book. Watch along as you read or watch the course first and then return to the text for more nuance. (No email address required. Just click and enjoy).
