I know Spring is in bloom when my allergies start acting up. I’ve been miserable all day even with meds. But I still managed to get a lot done.
I’ve got a pretty tree in my front yard that has amazing blossoms for two or three weeks, and when it does, it’s so bad for my allergies that I can barely go outside. If it’s not one thing, it’s another. But that didn’t stop me.
The first Scrivener 3 for Windows video is ready to be shot, probably tomorrow. I finally got all my notes organized. It’ll be a first impressions video, with the full, robust review to follow.
I also messed around with Affinity Photo and created a pretty good thumbnail for the video. Honestly, probably one of the better thumbnails I’ve done on my own. Thumbnails are a key part of my YouTube strategy moving forward, and I’m forcing myself to get better at design. You’ll see the new ones roll out starting with the Scrivener videos.
I also landed two speaking engagements in the past 24 hours. One will be a Writer’s Digest digital and the other is for ProWritingAid’s Crime Writers Week next week.
Speaking season is starting up again…
I felt like I was treading water today, but sometimes we have those days. Looking forward to Friday when the channel gets a much needed overhaul.
