6100 words today. I finished Indie Author Confidential Vol. 7, capping off the Beast Mode Challenge nicely. I finished early, and that’s fun.
I started the day off with a 6AM live podcast for ALLi, so boy am I tired.
I was able to finish Indie Author Confidential Vol. 7 because I worked on it between every Beast Mode book. I’d do 3-4 chapters every time I finished a book, which served as a nice palate cleanser between books. That made it much easier to finish when I came to the end of the challenge.
I’m now at the point where I don’t know what to write next…my mind is completely blank, yet I’ve got a 2,000-word minimum to hit tomorrow. Hmmm…Maybe I’ll write short stories or something. I do need to film the course for the Advanced Editing book, so that may take up my word counts for a few days. I won’t officially start a new book until that’s done.
Anyhoo, I got Spirit Chaser off to my editor today. I expect it back sometime next week, when it will go to my proofreader. It should be published by end of the month.
I’ll send Indie Author Confidential Vol. 7 to my editor next week once she finishes Spirit Chaser. When she returns it, I’ll start putting the Beast Mode Collection together as I know many of you are waiting for that.
Also, I can officially announce that I’ll have another article appearing in Writer’s Digest in January/February 2022. The editor sent me the final proof with artwork and layout this morning, and it looks great. I approved that and got it out the door.
Anyhoo, today was a good day. Any day you finish a book is a good day.
