4000 words today (so far). I definitely changed the calculus on this novel. I’m on the back end of the final battle which hopefully I can knock out either tonight or first thing tomorrow. I’m so close I can taste it. The final battle for this novel was a little different than usual and I had to deal with a gigantic left turn that I didn’t see coming. It took me a little while today to untangle that.
The novel is sitting at just under 46K. This one will probably be somewhere between 48K and 50K. I definitely think there are a few thousand words left, but not many more than that.
Anyhoo, I’m off to get more words in.
I intend to finish this baby as soon as possible. I did get my flu shot today, and that’s terrible timing as I have no idea how I’ll feel tomorrow…but rain or shine, I’m getting this novel done.
