Finished the novel!!!! Glad to have this one marked off. I’ll spend today and tomorrow doing a final cleanup pass before getting it off to my editor.
My cover designer sent the mockup for The Good Necromancer Book 3, and while it was good, it missed the mark in a few areas. I sent feedback today and hope to get an updated draft tomorrow. Overall, this design is good but not quite as good as Book 4. If anything, I may have the designer rearrange book titles depending on which cover is the strongest. So I’m keeping my options open this time around. That’s one of the major benefits of designing all your covers at the same time.
I also sat down with James Blatch and chatted with him on the Self-Publishing Show with Mark Dawson. That was a lot of fun, and the episode should go live next Friday. We talked about productivity, finding the time to write, and staying passionate about your work. It was around 30-40 minutes but it felt a lot longer, so hopefully that’s a good sign.
