I had a brief hiccup today with the location of the “big” scene. It started off as a generic location but then something told me I needed to do some more research. I spent some time finding a good location grounded in history that happened to be exactly where I needed it. That wrecked a fair amount of my day today, and it’s the reason my dictation sessions decreased throughout the day.
I had to do some more just-in-time research. Fortunately I know where the story needed to go; I just needed to find a suitable place in the city.
Still a good day overall, but I have a small problem that I’ll have to fix tomorrow:
#1: The first half of the words I wrote today involve a generic location that I didn’t know much about.
#2: The second half of the words are much more specific, and exactly dialed in to the location that I researched and decided on.
That means I’ve got to do some serious looping tomorrow to smooth everything out before I move forward. And I still have to hit a 3000 minimum word goal tomorrow to keep my momentum. Not really looking forward to the looping part as there’s a lot of patchwork to fix.
