9000 words today. I did 3000 last night after posting the blog so I’m technically at 12,000 words within the last 24 hours, which is a record. Not bad for not writing anything for almost a month…
I damn near knocked out the book I’m working on right now, which is related to QA checks. I also even managed to shoot two companion bonus videos that will accompany the book, create an Excel template for people to use, and a few other things.
The really cool thing about today was that I experimented with yet another new writing method. I tried Sudowrite as a recommendation from a podcast. It’s an AI text tool that spawns ideas as you write. I played around with it. I didn’t use Sudowrite for much of the words—it maybe only gave me about 500-1000 words today. But it did give me interesting ideas on where to take the book, many of which I didn’t expect.
I installed the Dragon Chrome web extension so I could dictate directly into Sudowrite, so I was writing ridiculously fast. I’ll talk about Sudowrite once I’ve had a chance to form a solid opinion about it. So far, so good.
Anyway, I am on track to finish this book tomorrow as I think there is only one or two more short chapters. Then, it’s just wrapping up the bonus videos and getting them edited.
I’ve got an inkling to start Book 4 of the Good Necromancer series so I may start that before Thanksgiving.
Anyhoo, time for bed. Have a good night.
Oh, and folks, don’t forget about the NaNoWriMo bundle I’m participating in. Early feedback is that the books are FIRE and people are finding it very helpful for the challenge. 16 books, pay-what-you-want, and some really good advice. www.storybundle.com/nano
