I made it through one book today for quality checks, but it took me a while to get through it. Unfortunately, I had to reformat one of my books. It was good and bad news.
The good news that the Indie Writer’s Encyclopedia was well-formatted but I had to use Scrivener to format the ebook edition because the book has around 200 or so internal links. Each of the definitions refer to another definition in the book, and when I published this in 2019, Vellum didn’t support that, so I had to have a separate ebook edition and then a Vellum edition for the paperback. Kind of a pain, but it was the right way to realize my vision for the book.
Vellum now supports internal links, so I took this opportunity to reformat the book in Vellum so that I had both the ebook and paperback versions in the same file. Much, much easier to maintain in the future. So that took me a little while.
I’ll move onto my next book tomorrow.
In other news, I got the cover for Indie Author Confidential Vol. 7 AND Spirit Chaser back, so both are now ready to publish. I’ll probably get to them sometime this weekend.
Have a good night.
By the way, don’t forget to check out the NaNoWriMo bundle I’m participating in. It’ll help you crush NaNo this year: https://www.storybundle.com/nano
