0 words again, but I WILL be writing after I publish this post so I’ll end today with non-zero word count.
I wrapped up my final master loop and am officially done with the novel. Here’s what I did today:
* Finished final loop and got everything into as best alignment as I physically can.
* Ran the novel through Microsoft Word spellchecker.
* Ran the novel through Grammarly.
* Ran the novel through ProWritingAid.
* Ran the novel through PerfectIt proofreading.
* Ran the novel through my proprietary macros.
* Sent the novel off to my fact-checkers and they are actively working on it now.
* Sent the novel to my copyeditor today.
I normally wait for my fact-checkers before copyediting, but I decided to just send the book to my copyeditor now. This is a Book 2 so most of the hard work was done for Book 1 and there’s less for them to review this time around. I don’t anticipate too many earth shattering changes from the fact checkers that would affect the copyediting too much. So I’ve timed it so that I’ll get my copyedited manuscript and fact checkers suggestions back around the same time. I’ll incorporate everything in a single pass, then send off to my proofreader. This will save me some time.
I did a lot of work today, and I’m finally in a spot where I can start up writing again. It always takes a significant amount of effort to get the novel off the ground and in-line for publication.
At this point, my hope is to send the novel off to my proofreader sometime late the week of the 16th, with a two week turnaround. That would put me on track for a publication date for Books 1 and 2 sometime around Labor Day.

Anyhoo, as you’ll recall, it’s Beast Mode, and it’s time for me to jump into another book. I’m going to work on Indie Author Confidential Vol. 6 tonight and start reviewing Cold Hard Magic: The Good Necromancer Book 2. I’ll have to take a break at some point this week to shoot some YouTube videos, so I’m planning for that.
