The first “beast mode” book is officially published!!! I’ll share tomorrow once a handful of retailers are live. Patrons on my Patreon page received the book this morning.
I created a battery of Amazon Ads for the new book and got those going. I created around 10-15 initial ads, which were a mixture of keyword, category and automatic ads. It'll take a couple days for them to start earning impressions and clicks. It usually takes about two weeks before I start seeing early results.
Oddly enough, this book will either do decently well or it won't perform well at all. I won't know for a few weeks until the ads kick in. I don't care either way—I have five more books to publish. At least one or two of the beast mode books will do great. I just don't know which ones!
In other news, I finalized Project Constitution and got it ready for my editor. I’ll be sending both Project Constitution and Project Confidential Vol. 2 to my editor this weekend, with publication of both slated pretty soon after the editor is done.
I started prepping Project Writing Tips for my editor. It'll be ready sometime this weekend. I may send it with the other books if it's ready in time. If not I'll hold it and send it along with Project Bestiary. That will be the final batch of the log jam.
In this week’s episode of The Writer’s Journey, I talk about some of the consequences I’ve had to pay as a result of beast mode. What is the price I’m paying for being so hyper focused? It may surprise you. Listen here: https://traffic.libsyn.com/secure/michaellaronn/Ep_133.mp3
This is turning out to be a very productive week even though I haven’t written a single word. The log jam of books is breaking and that’s a good thing.
