1300 words today. Finished the book!!!
Woke up early today and did some ALLi and marketing work.
Around 20 authors submitted new series to my Urban Fantasy Book Database, which is amazing. The database has more than 300 urban fantasy series in it now, organized by supernatural type, subgenre, and more. The database represents 465 authors and connects them to new readers everyday. Very proud of it. Check it out at https://theauthorhelper.com/ufbookdatabase.
Recorded two weeks of Writing Tip of the Day. I'm through mid-December now. Couple weeks left to get 2020 done.
I also spoke on a panel this evening at my alma mater Simpson College about my experiences as an African-American on campus, plus some stuff regarding success. Kind of interesting to go back in time and relive my college days…But yeah, yet another speaking event under my belt. (The panel was on Zoom).
I reviewed my editor’s edits for Indie Author Confidential Vol 2, got them loaded into Vellum, and the order off to my cover designer. He’ll be done by Saturday night so I’m on track to publish by Saturday.
The illustrator sent another map for Project Atlas, which looked really good! She’s only got 3 maps left.
Because I’m traveling next week, I’m renting a hotel conference room because I have to teach an insurance class. It’ll be all virtual, but I need the technology. Had to negotiate the contract with the hotel sales manager but we’re mostly there now.
Anyway, I finished Project Author Income. We’re at 17,200 words I think, which is good. I feel good about this one. I have one last chapter where I define some terms, but I can’t do that until I start my final review so that I can make sure all the terms are there. That’ll be like a 200 word chapter, so no big deal. Feels good to get this book done!
Oh, and one last thing. That book I published yesterday…
Introducing: The Reader’s Bill of Rights (formerly known as Project Constitution)

This Book Will Turn Your Fans Into Superfans
Readers support writers with their hard-earned money, support, and time. But they don’t have to buy YOUR book.
Having readers is a privilege, so how can we treat them right?
The Reader’s Bill of Rights is a short book that explains the 11 inalienable rights that all readers have. Author M.L. Ronn discovered these rights the hard way after writing 50+ books.
Violate the rights in this book at your own risk! But if you respect them, readers will love you and you’ll forge more satisfying connections with the people who support your art.
You just might sell more books, too!
