A receptionist at a place I frequent surprised me today by pulling out a copy of Be a Writing Machine, asking me to sign it. 🙂 I was humbled, and it is always surreal to see my books in the wild. This is why you should publish your book in paperback. You never know when these things will happen!!!
Also, this is another reason why you should include a link to your books and a mention that you’re an author in your email signature. That’s how the reader today learned about my books. I’ve been doing this for years and every once in a while I see proof that it’s working. You never know when people will click your signature and buy something, or recommend your books to a friend or relative.
I also answered some nice emails today and got my inbox down to zero, which is an amazing feat given all the mail I received.
I did not, however, get any writing done. Well, I did 100 words. But hey, that’s how it goes sometimes.
Inbox zero vs. word counts for the day…word counts lost. I really need to find a new way to solve my email problem. I’m working on it.
Have a good night.
