Wrote around 1000 words today.
I'm behind on my emails by about a day or two so if you've sent me a response I'll do my best to get to it tonight or tomorrow. I’ve had some home improvement projects that have taken me away from emails this weekend.
LESSON LEARNED
I didn’t get a chance to continue watching Bryan Cohen’s course today. I’ll pick up tomorrow.
LESSON EXECUTED
I only created a handful of ads today. Didn’t have much time.
If there was any doubt yesterday, there’s none today—all my ads are definitely on. The impressions are waaaay up and so are the clicks. And so far, I’m still taking a loss.
My poetry collections and short story collections are getting the most impressions and clicks still—which is really, really interesting. I even sold a poetry collection and a short story collection audiobook that I can attribute to the ads, so that’s exciting. Does it mean the trend will continue, or was it beginner’s luck? Not sure. But hell, I sell zero copies of these books each year without ads. I’d be super happy if I turned a few buck’s profit on each of them every month. I’d take that all day long, especially for the poetry.
My fiction, on the other hand, is burning slower. I’m getting clicks on many of my series, but at a slower rate. I don’t have enough data to have any thoughts yet.
But I’m likely looking at another day of losses. I’ll simply wipe the tomatoes off my face, wake up and do it all over again tomorrow. I’m confident I’ll be ultimately successful in this endeavor. Success for me means at least one profitable ad set on a series that I’ve never advertised before, and/or knowledge about how I can improve my packaging for the books that don’t do as well. I really don’t lose at this experiment.
Have a good night.
